Lake Wisconsin Church strives to provide programs that teach the Bible to children in fun and engaging ways. AWANA uses songs, games, lessons, and verse memorization to teach Scripture to elementary aged children. Our Sunday School (Crosswalk) classrooms are decorated by artists, staffed by experienced teachers, and use curriculum designed to appeal to diverse learning styles. All volunteers and staff at LWEFC who interact with children go through a thorough process that involves background checks, training, and adherence to the LWEFC Child Protection Policy.
Nursery (Lower Level) - Currently Unavailable due to COVID-19
The LWEFC currently provides a safe, clean, well supervised nursery for children (ages birth through 5) during our Contemporary Service (10:15 a.m.). The nursery is always staffed with two adults who have gone through a training session and background check. It is our goal to provide a fun and reliable atmosphere for your young child, so that you can worship undistracted. Of course, small children are allowed in services if you so choose.
Cry Room (Directly Across From Sanctuary)
We value having families worship together and we understand that there are moments where you might have to excuse yourself from the worship service to attend to a child. We have a room directly across from our sanctuary that is equipped with a television feed from the sanctuary with video and audio so you don't miss a moment even if you can't physically be in the sanctuary.
Crosswalk (Lower Level) - Currently Not Offered due to COVID-19
During the school year we offer a Sunday school class during our Contemporary Service (10 a.m.), for children ages pre-k to 5th grade called Crosswalk. Crosswalk uses The Gospel Project for Kids and is set up in a way so that kids are with those their age and can learn about the Bible in an age-appropriate setting. The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events, presenting the story of redemption through Jesus like kids have never seen before! Each week, these stories come to life through video, music, activities and more.
All classes meet together as a large group for a bible lesson before separating into various age groups in order to have age appropriate lessons and activities. You can learn more about The Gospel Project here.
Awana - Wednesday Nights - 6:30-7:30 pm - Begins September 30
Awana is our Wednesday night youth ministry for kids Pre-K through 5th Grade throughout the school year. Awana is a wonderful program where kids learn about the Bible, play fun games, sing songs and get treats. Usually we have somewhere between 50-60 kids at Awana with lots of volunteers and age-specific lessons and games. Because of COVID-19, we will be implementing new safety measures to help keep children social distant and to minimize the risk of getting sick. This includes limiting in-person gatherings for Awana to 30 kids a week. Registration for Awana is now open and required if your child will be attending in-person or online. You can register by clicking here. For more information on our Awana program visit our Facebook page here. If you would like more information on Awana, please visit their website at www.awana.org.
