Youth Pastor Scott Larson

I grew up in Western Springs, Illinois. Which is a town much like this one, but with less farms (and our outdoor swimming pool did not look like a prison). My high school was a little bit bigger too, its population was bigger than the entire city of Lodi. I was involved in a little bit of everything: sports, video games, church, art, and various after school jobs. My family vacationed to Wisconsin often, and I liked it so much I decided to move there when it was time for college. I went to UWSP, and it was during that time that I begin to realize that most of the people around me did not understand that God was loving and knowable. I spent a large part of my college years working with churches and campus ministries to reach out to my friends and neighbors (with that message). I spent the rest of my time romancing Thea. These two pastimes were the reason I got mostly C’s. Sorry mom. After graduation, I spent a few years in Milwaukee. I did youth work in the inner city. This is why I am so awesome at basketball. Around this time I married Thea, and started taking seminary classes at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. I also wrestled professionally and briefly held a championship belt in the Mexican Wrestling Association. One of the sentences in this paragraph is false.

I love working with people of all ages, and am still passionate about reaching out to friends and neighbors with the message that God has a plan and a purpose for everyone who yields to Him.

The LWEFC youth group is open to every middle school and high school student in Lodi and Poynette interested in spending time with fun people, learning what God has revealed about Himself through the Bible, and serving the community. If I don’t know you yet, I hope to meet you soon!
