Reach Global

The EFCA International Mission is now called Reach Global. Reach Global exists to glorify God through making disciples of Jesus Christ and incorporating them into reproducing congregations with the goal of launching church- planting movements internationally.
Reach Global‘s plan is designed to reach people where they are. This requires years of diligent work and patience to develop compassionate relationships and to understand the culture of the people (cultivating the soil). The Gospel message (planting the seed) is continually and creatively sown among the people. As a result new believers (Sprouts) are won to Christ through prayer and reliance on the convicting work of the Holy Spirit. These new believers must be discipled and nurtured to maturity in a caring and non-threatening environment such as small groups or cells (Saplings). Eventually multiple cells may meet together (Tree) if the cultural environment is not extremely hostile. Regardless of the public visibility of these “churches”, the cells will be encouraged to fellowship and build up each other (Grove).
The ultimate goal is to have a viable, reproducing, national fellowship of interdependent congregations (Forest). These congregations would be strong enough to support themselves and to contribute to planting others churches.
