Short Term Missions Trips

Los Olivos

LWEFC began their partnership with Los Olivos Church in 2006. We have been sending teams on short term trips to Guatemala for the past 6 years. Our missions trips and partnership with Los Olivos have given members at LWEFC the opportunity to make a long term impact for Christ in Guatemala. Each year our relationships with members at Los Olivos church grow stronger and we become more effective in our ministries. As we work together, Los Olivos shares their vision for outreach in Guatemala and follows through with the Lord’s work after we leave.

Short terms teams working with Los Olivos have offered Vacation Bible School in remote villages, constructed school classrooms, offered medical and dental clinics, provided instruction and training in children’s ministry (puppets and flannelgraph) and English. We have ministered to children in the public schools, implemented programs to improve drinking water, constructed fuel efficient cooking stoves and constructed a playground. We plan to continue our partnership with Los Olivos for several more years as we seek to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people of Guatemala. You don’t need any special skills to come on a short term trip and all necessary training will be provided prior to the trip.
