DISTRICT CHURCH PLANTER

Ray has been working planting churches in our District since 1992. Some of the newer church plants have been in Appleton, Madison, Luck, Fond du Lac, Eau Claire, Wisconsin Rapids and DeForest. There have also been some Spanish and Chinese churches planted.

In his own words, “I find myself daily renewed in the vision to see a true church planting movement in Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan. God has been feeding my dream with intensified determination and new insights. I don’t know how it will be put together and I often can’t adequately express it. But I know it is of God, by God and for His glory. And I know that only a movement which multiplies churches rather than “adds” to them can reach more of the 6 million people in the 1900 communities in our District.

Ray graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1978 and served with Campus Crusade for Christ for 2 years and has been a pastor in EFCA churches in Missouri and Wisconsin. He and his wife Darlene have 9 children and 18 grandchildren.
