Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Lake Wisconsin Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Members are involved in a wide variety of ministries that best fit their talents or gifts.
Mission Outreach
Lake Wisconsin Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are supportive of our missionaries both financially and with our prayers. We have missionaries in many different countries.
Additionally, each year, a team from our church travels to Sumpango, Guatemala to assist with the needs of that community and in practical projects and evangelistic outreach. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.
Worship Team
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members of all ages get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Lake Wisconsin Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Greeters & Ushers
The greeter & usher teams at Lake Wisconsin Church fill an important role. They are involved in helping guests, answering questions, providing direction, distributing elements for communion and the offering plates and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Lake Wisconsin Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have to be good stewards of these tools for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in audio format. In the near future we will also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.
Marriage Counseling
Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Our pastor and other counselors at Lake Wisconsin Church serve couples, helping them improve their marriages.. Their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.
Prayer Warriors
Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Lake Wisconsin Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.
Cross Walk
Cross Walk meets during both worship services. It is for pre-K through 5th grade. Children learn about God’s Word through classroom activities which involved having fun and snack time! When you come on a Sunday, have your children follow the street signs to Cross Walk which meets on our lower level.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Vacation Bible School is a week-long summer outreach for children which meets at Lake Wisconsin Church. It usually meets in the mornings and is packed with games, songs, a Bible lesson, music, crafts and much more! Your kids will love it.
