Ross and Mary Hunter have been serving the Quichua people in the Cotopaxi Providence of Latacunga, Ecuador, since 1994. Their focus is discipleship and leadership training, which develops native Quichuas as Christian leaders/pastors in their community. Ross Hunter states "One key element of discipleship is 'availability' and willingness to share life outside of the classroom." Currently, much of the discipleship training occurs in people's home.
Prayer is needed for land for the discipleship training center, for God to raise up workers to join them, for the nationals that have received training to be seen as leaders in their community, and for prayer partners for all of the students.
Ross and Mary have three children:
Jonathan, Cristina and Jenny.
