FRAN AND LORI DEROCHER
SERVING IN NAIROBI, KENYA
MISSION AVIATION FELLOWSHIP (MAF)
Email- fderocher@maf.org
Fran and Lori returned to Africa from furlough mid 2001 and are living in Nairobi.
As of 2005 this makes for 12 years overseas now serving with MAF. They serve
as coordinators for the continent of Africa to oversee MAF operations. Fran
communicates with the programs he is managing and also with MAF headquarters.
He visits each program yearly to encourage staff, talk over issues they have,
give directions where necessary and pray with them. Lori assists in the ministry
as she assumes office and bookkeeping duties.
Lori has traveled to a number of our African programs to provide essential bookkeeping training for our managers who have never taken on such a responsibility. Their eldest daughter is in her first year of university at Azusa Pacific in California. Amber and Brent are at home attending a local K-12 missionary school called Rosslyn Academy. Rosslyn has proven to be the best schooling situation the kids have ever had in Africa. Mom and dad are so thankful.
They are involved in evangelism
in their area and a children's Sunday School continues going strong. The whole
family helps out when their turn comes up to teach the kids. It is a privilege
to invest in these young lives. Sometimes they have 6 or 7 different nationalities
in class.
