Larry accepted Christ while a senior in high school through a campus ministry. He received his Bachelor's degree in Math Education and a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Larry has been involved in Christian education as a teacher and administrator and has spent 10 years in pastoral ministry.

During a 5-day club, Jill put her faith in the Lord. She later rededicated her life in high school. Jill attended Fort Wayne Bible College and was active in worship and women's ministries in their home church. Following six years of service in Russia, the Couches have seen the Lord move them to Sarajevo, Bosnia to take on new responsibilities and ministry challenges.

The Couch's have 3 children: Nathan is single and works in Cedar Rapids, IA. Both of their daughters, Anna (Jeff) and Leah (David) are married. They have three grandsons (Wesley, Josiah, and Andrew) and two granddaughters (Meredith and Kayla). Both families live in Iowa.
